My story is not unfamiliar to many East African Asians that came to Britain in the 1960’s. Arriving as a toddler I grew up in a working-class, run-down part of Leicester City. Life was tough for all immigrant families. But this sparked my passion and drive for a better life, a successful life and to have a sense of purpose.

Having studied at King’s College London University (Chelsea), I qualified as a Pharmacist in 1989. My success has been born out of hard work and persistence and never giving up. My drive and determination has led to an illustrious and worthwhile career in Pharmacy and the Healthcare business.

My 30 years of experience in the Community Pharmacy care sector has led to the creation of a successful Independent Pharmacy group building it from one run-down business in a shopping precinct in Leicester. This passion for pharmacy has create an award-winning Pharmacy Federation namely LIPCO Healthcare which won Local Commissioned Service bids worth over £500,000 in the first year. My innovative and collaborative work in the development of new clinical services in pharmacy led me to win prestigious awards from C&D Clinical Service of the Year in 2015 to ICP Pharmacy Advocate of the Year. I still have tremendous drive and energy and will continue to embrace change and the evolution taking place in the healthcare sector.

Now as an Independent Pharmacy Business Consultant, I can share my knowledge and vast network to help other businesses and independent pharmacy owners navigate through the turbulent sea of change.
